Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs makes the loveliest things.  That seems fitting as she is a kind, lovely lady. 

I've always loved her exquisite "story quilts" that mix appliqué and piecing, embroidery and the perfect little embellishments, and her Petite Pattern softies.  So it was hard not to be really excited when she designed and stitched Sweet Meadow for Stitch Pink.

If you're new to embroidery, Anne can help with two Embroidery 101 Tutorials.  Part One is about the supplies and tools you'll need, and Part Two shares tips on picking threads, the Stem Stitch and the Backstitch.

Sweet Meadow was finished with fabrics from the 3 Sisters' Daybreak collection.  (It's in shops now.)  The mini quilt finishes at 14-1/2" x 12-1/2", though it would also be quite perfect in a pretty frame.

Before you trim your finished embroidery to size, please note that the pattern has been updated.  In the transfer to digital form, the original drawing was inadvertently enlarged so the sizes were wrong.  The current pattern is correct.
