INGREDIENTS

From Snow (9900 11), cut:

{A} (1) 18½” background square

From Scarlet (9900 47), cut:

{C} Hat {F} and {H} Mittens

From Green (9900 65), cut:

{D} Hat brim

{E} Scarf {G} and {I} Mitten cuff

Additional supplies: Floss—one skein each of red and green . I used Aurifil floss. Red 2270, green 2835 All items needed for your favorite method of applique’.

INSTRUCTIONS

Using a light source, transfer all the embroidery lines to your fabric. Print and cut out applique templates, adding ¼” seam allowance if needed for needle turn applique. I embroidered all the snowflake lines with a single strand of floss using an outline stitch. The hat brim and the mitten cuffs were stitched using two strands of floss. NOW I APPLIQUED ALL MY PATTERN PIECES IN PLACE. Using a light source, transfer the scarf fringe, hat and mitten ties to your background fabric. Scarf, Hat and mitten ties were stitched using a lazy chain stitch. I added French Knots to the tips of all snowflakes and hat ties now. This will help anchor the larger pieces to the background fabric.
