Welcome To Moda Fabrics!
String. Love. Spell.
String. Love. Spell.
Cut. Pin. Sew. Quilt. Repeat. Or maybe Eat. Sleep. Quilt. That works too.
(How cute is this bag? It's the Eat Sleep Quilt Glam Bag - in shops now.)
We've been having so much fun with the sew-alongs this year that we really, really want to do another one but with a growing pile of UFOs, WIPs, and PIBs, we're going to do a little catching-up before we start on something new. And there is that Market thing... it's Market looming just around the corner.
Just to refresh - our three sew-alongs are the Moda String-Along - the Moda Love Quilt - Moda Spell It With Fabric.
UFO? Unfinished Fabric Object. WIP - Work in Progress. (WISP - Work in Slow Progress.) PIB - Project in Box/Bag/Basket/Bin.
So to inspire you to finish your String, Love or Spell quilt project, we're sharing some of what's popped up in the hashtags. (If you're all caught up and want to start something new, we won't judge.)
This is Moda's Tammy Vonderschmitt's quilt - @nithaystack.
By @ch.de.viron - we love these French General fabrics.
By Jessica Dayon - @jessicadayon - using Chloe’s Closet 30’s Playtime 2018 and Bella Solid No. 182 - Porcelain.
By Angela Helge - @sewmanysts.
Nancy Lane used her "beloved American Jane scraps" to make this string block table-topper - @treehouse_quilts.
And finally, by @snuggs0331.
This is the first finished quilt by Moda's Brittany Clark - @_makeitsew_. She used a 3 Sisters' Porcelain Layer Cake to make this quilt. (Quilting by Maggi Honeyman - @sewmaggi.)
The folks at Sew Uptown used the Watercolor Waves prints Moda's Gradients to make this quilt - @sewuptown.
Christy Johnson - @christynquilts - used a Mini Charm Pack of 3 Sisters' Atelier to make this Mini Moda Love. (Moda Love Mini?)
Heather Evans - @e.harriet - added a terrific bobble-trim to make this picnic table-topper using Jen Kingwell's Gardenvale.
A little Bonnie & Camille, some denim and chambray and presto! A perfectly wonderful Moda Love pillow by @finefabric.
Linda Kreuger used Me & My Sister's Grow! collection to make this little quilt - shared by the Moda Bake Shop - @modabakeshop.
Alissa Bailey Strouse - @alissalovestoquilt - used Urban Cottage charm squares by Urban Chiks to make this really cool project.
Whitney Hill - @southernmakings.
Emily Day - @rain.and.pine.
Caity - @sewflyquilts.
Quilt Emporium in Southern California - @quiltemporium.
Tricia Young - @piecelovequilt.
Lisa - @lisa12882.
Peta Peace - @shequiltsalot.
Anna Dineen - @mywanderingpath.
And finally, this is one of our favorites. It was made a few years ago by Moda designer Kate Spain.
Never Give Up On Your Dreams. The extra blocks in the quilt and those in the border are the "extra" pieced blocks included in the Spell It With Fabric! pattern booklet.
As much as I love the front of this quilt, it's the pieced back that I'm most partial to.
How perfect is this?
So are you inspired to finish? Or to start?
