Sometimes substituting for solids makes all the difference! Chef Michelle Law's Tradewinds and Stars Quilt provided the inspiration for today's Flashback Friday project.

Michelle's original quilt was bright and cheerful - the perfect way to showcase a favorite charm pack or layer cake!

To make it modern, simply substitute the ingredients listed in the original recipe for:

1 white charm pack {Bella Solids 9900PP 98}
1 color charm pack {Bella Solids 9900PP 48}
1/4 yard for light star points {Bella Solids 9900 98}
1/4 yard for light star points {Bella Solids 9900 48}
1.5 yards border and binding fabric (Bella Solids 9900 48}

You will change up the look of the quilt simply by making half of the blocks with white centers and half with blue centers.
