Hi!  My name is Trish Poolson.  I am super happy to be back today at The Moda Bake Shop sharing a fun quilt pattern with you.  Let's get started!

1 Bella Solids Layer Cake in egg blue (9900LC 85)
5.75 yards Bella Solids Bleach White 97 (9900 97)
3/4 yard Bella Solids in red (9900 16)
8 1/3 yards Bella Solids in egg blue (9900 85)

cutting instructions :

from 28 bella solid layer cake squares

* cut 112 - 5"

from bella solid bleach white 97

* cut 10 - 14" x width of fabric strips

subcut into 28 - 14" squares

* cut 10 - 5" x width of fabric strips

subcut into 77 - 5" squares

from bella solid red (binding)

* cut 9 - 2.5" x width of fabric strips

from bella solid egg blue (backing)

cut 2 - 3 yards x width of fabric strips

with remaining 2 1/3 yards of egg blue

cut 3 - 26" x width of fabric

sewing instructions :

for backing

sew 3 - 26" x width of fabric strips end to end, press this is the center

sew 3 yards x width of fabric to the top of center

sew 3 yards x width of fabric to the bottom of center

trim difference from sides

for binding

sew 9 - 2.5" x width of fabric end to end, press

for block A : make 12

layout and sew 5 blue and 4 white squares as picture shows, press rows before sewing into blocks

for block B : make 4

layout and sew 5 white and 4 blue squares as picture shows, press rows before sewing into blocks

for block C : make 1

layout and sew 8 blue and one white square as picture shows, press rows before sewing into blocks

for block D : make 4

layout and sew 7 blue and 2 white squares as picture shows, press rows before sewing into blocks

when all blocks have been sewn, lay out blocks and 14" squares as pattern shows

sew blocks together into rows from left to right, press each row in opposite directions

then sew rows together from top to bottom, nesting your seams, press

quilt and bind.
